Residential Property Solicitor
Our client, a respected law firm with a strong reputation in the South/South East of Manchester, is seeking a Residential Property Solicitor to join their expanding real estate team.

- Take ownership of a comprehensive caseload of residential property matters, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, transfers of equity, remortgages, and new build transactions.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate legal documents such as contracts, transfer deeds, leasehold enquiries, and mortgage documentation in line with UK residential property law and best practice.
- Deliver clear, expert legal advice to clients including private individuals, first-time buyers, property investors, and high-net-worth individuals throughout each stage of the conveyancing process.
- Conduct all associated due diligence, including title investigation, searches, reviewing planning and building regulation documents, and reporting on title to clients and lenders.
- Liaise proactively with estate agents, mortgage brokers, solicitors, surveyors, lenders, and other third parties to ensure the efficient progression and completion of property files.
- Maintain high standards of compliance with SRA, AML, GDPR, and all relevant regulatory requirements, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records are kept on the case management system.
- Identify and manage legal risks, delivering pragmatic and tailored solutions that support clients’ objectives.
- Contribute positively to the growth and development of the property team through knowledge sharing, supporting colleagues, and engaging in internal training.
Essential Skills and Experience for Residential Property Solicitors
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with proven experience managing a broad range of residential conveyancing matters independently within private practice.
- Thorough knowledge of UK residential property law, conveyancing processes, and lender requirements.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills, ensuring the delivery of precise and client-focused advice.
- Strong organisational skills, able to handle multiple transactions simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, fostering trust and strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Proficient in the use of legal case management systems, MS Office, and online search and registration platforms.
- Collaborative, proactive, and committed to ongoing professional development and maintaining knowledge of changes in property law.
