Commercial Property Solicitor
Our client, a leading and modern law firm committed to outstanding client service, is looking to recruit a talented Commercial Property Solicitor to join their commercial property department. This permanent, full-time opportunity is based at the Liverpool office.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload of commercial property matters including acquisitions, disposals, leases, development projects, landlord and tenant work, and portfolio management.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, lease agreements, licences, transfers, and supporting documentation throughout commercial transactions.
- Undertake comprehensive title due diligence, review searches, analyse surveyor and valuation reports, and resolve enquiries to facilitate smooth completion of transactions.
- Liaise professionally with clients, commercial agents, lenders, counsel, and third parties to ensure effective transaction management and exemplary client service.
- Oversee post-completion requirements, including SDLT submissions, Land Registry applications, and maintenance of detailed, compliant records.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory frameworks including the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) requirements and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures.
- Contribute positively to the team, sharing expertise, providing guidance to junior colleagues, and actively participating in ongoing professional development.
Essential Skills, Experience, and Knowledge
- Qualified solicitor with demonstrable experience in commercial property law and associated transactions.
- In-depth understanding of the legal complexities surrounding commercial leases, development agreements, sales, purchases, and landlord and tenant matters.
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex commercial files independently with strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication skills, providing clear advice to clients and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
- Proactive problem-solving approach and the ability to foresee and address potential transaction challenges.
- Experience with digital case management systems and proficiency in standard office software applications.
