Conveyancing Executive
Are you looking to further your career in residential property law? Our client, a leading and innovative law firm celebrated for its commitment to excellent client service, is seeking a skilled Conveyancing Executive to join their dynamic property team. This permanent, full-time position (Monday to Friday) at the Chester office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages and transfers of equity.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, transfers, and all associated legal documentation throughout the conveyancing transaction.
- Conduct full title investigations, arrange property searches, analyse surveyor findings, and proactively resolve any legal or practical enquiries.
- Deliver effective, timely communication with clients, mortgage lenders, solicitors, estate agents, and all third parties to ensure a seamless conveyancing process.
- Handle all post-completion matters, including submitting Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) returns, completing Land Registry applications, and maintaining comprehensive records.
- Uphold all regulatory standards, including Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS), and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) protocols.
- Engage in a supportive, team-based environment by sharing knowledge, assisting colleagues, and participating in continuing professional development.
Essential Skills, Experience, and Conveyancing Knowledge
- Proven technical expertise in residential property law, particularly freehold and leasehold conveyancing, new builds, and lender requirements.
- Demonstrable organisational skills, able to manage multiple conveyancing files effectively and with meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional client care skills, with a professional, approachable, and informative manner in all communications.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach in addressing complications throughout the conveyancing transaction process.
- Ability to communicate complex legal information clearly to clients and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
- Familiarity with digital case management systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Adaptable, collaborative, and committed to continuous learning within the field of residential property and conveyancing.
