Marketing Manager
We are seeking an organised and experienced Marketing Manager to lead and deliver effective marketing activity within an established product based company with strong UK presence. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the wider team and external contacts to strengthen the organisation’s profile, support business growth and contribute to sustainable growth.
The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with strong communication, project management and broad ranging marketing skills. They will manage social channels, marketing campaigns, content, events, communications, market research and brand activity while maintaining professional standards and ensuring marketing initiatives support organisational objectives.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and implement the organisation’s marketing strategy, plans and campaigns in line with business objectives and growth priorities.
Manage the organisation’s brand, particularly on social media, ensuring that marketing materials, communications and external activity are consistent with brand guidelines and professional standards.
Plan, create, edit and coordinate high-quality content for websites, social media, email campaigns, newsletters, presentations, brochures and other marketing channels.
Manage and maintain website content, ensuring information is accurate, current, engaging, accessible and optimised for search engines.
Plan and deliver digital marketing campaigns across relevant channels, monitoring performance and making recommendations for continuous improvement.
Manage the organisation’s social media presence, developing content calendars, scheduling posts, responding to engagement and monitoring relevant trends.
Coordinate internal and external communications, including announcements, news stories, case studies, press releases and client-facing updates.
Plan and deliver client events, seminars, webinars, networking activity, sponsorships and other promotional initiatives, managing logistics, invitations and follow-up activity.
Undertake market, competitor and sector research to identify trends, opportunities, client needs and potential areas for service development.
Manage relationships with external suppliers, including designers, printers, agencies, media contacts, event providers and digital marketing specialists.
Monitor and report on marketing performance using relevant data, analytics and key performance indicators, providing clear recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Maintain accurate marketing records, databases, mailing lists, campaign information and contact preferences in accordance with organisational procedures.
Ensure marketing activity complies with relevant legislation, data protection requirements, professional standards, advertising rules, information security procedures and organisational policies.
Work effectively as part of a collaborative team, contributing to a high standard of internal communication, client service and organisational efficiency.
Key skills and experience:
Previous experience working as a Marketing Manager, Marketing Executive, Communications Manager or in a comparable marketing role.
Experience developing and delivering integrated marketing campaigns within a professional services, legal, financial, commercial or comparable environment.
Strong knowledge of digital marketing, content development, social media, email marketing, website management and search engine optimisation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging and audience-appropriate content.
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines, priorities and stakeholders effectively.
Good understanding of brand management, business development, market research and marketing performance reporting.
High level of attention to detail, with strong proofreading, editing and quality assurance skills.
Confident using marketing, content management, customer relationship management, email marketing, analytics and office software systems.
Creative, commercially aware and proactive, with the ability to identify opportunities and translate ideas into practical marketing activity.
Professional, collaborative and adaptable approach, with the confidence to communicate effectively with colleagues, senior stakeholders, suppliers and external contacts.
