This opportunity would suit an ambitious and commercially minded Commercial lawyer seeking the autonomy to further develop and grow their own practice within a supportive and collaborative environment. The firm is particularly interested in individuals who can bring established client relationships, strong referrer connections, or a clear strategy for future growth.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the continued expansion of the Commercial offering, working closely with senior leadership while benefiting from a highly regarded national platform, strong internal referral network, and excellent infrastructure and support systems.
Location is flexible for the right individual.
Key areas of experience:
Commercial contracts and general commercial advisory work
Drafting and negotiating supply, service, distribution, and outsourcing agreements
Technology, IT, and software agreements
Data protection and GDPR matters
Intellectual property licensing and brand protection matters
Joint ventures and strategic collaboration agreements
Terms and conditions, agency, and franchise agreements
Advising SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and corporate clients
Risk management and regulatory compliance advice
Business development and client relationship management
Team leadership, supervision, and mentoring experience
Key skills and attributes:
Strong technical Commercial law expertise
Established Partner-level experience or readiness to step into a Partner role
Existing following, referrer network, or demonstrable business case
Proven ability to maintain and grow long-term client relationships
Commercial awareness with a strategic and growth-focused mindset
Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Collaborative, proactive, and entrepreneurial approach
Ability to contribute strategically to the continued growth and development of the practice area
