Residential Property Solicitor

Fully remote, permanent role, Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of residential property matters, including freehold and leasehold transactions, remortgages, transfers of equity, new builds, and shared ownership schemes.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, transfer deeds, and other required legal documents for residential property transactions.
- Conduct thorough title checks, property searches, review survey results, and address any issues or enquiries that arise during the conveyancing process.
- Maintain clear and regular communication with individual and corporate clients, estate agents, lenders, and solicitors to ensure seamless progress from instruction through to completion.
- Perform all post-completion requirements including SDLT returns and HM Land Registry applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance at every stage.
- Adhere to SRA and CQS regulations, AML procedures, and best practice risk management protocols, maintaining high standards of regulatory compliance throughout every transaction.
- Contribute to the development of a collaborative team culture by sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues where required.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or CILEX Practitioner in England & Wales, with a minimum of three years’ proven experience independently handling a full residential conveyancing caseload.
- Up-to-date expertise in property law, leasehold and freehold transactions, new build matters, and lender requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail in all legal documentation and communication.
- Exceptional client care abilities, with the capacity to manage expectations, provide clear guidance, and build lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal, able to explain complex legal issues in a practical and accessible way.
- Highly competent in using conveyancing case management systems and Microsoft Office software.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and committed to ongoing professional development and maintaining current legal knowledge.
