Dispute Resolution Fee Earner
Our client, a law firm with a reputation for delivering exceptional dispute resolution services, is seeking a driven and meticulous individual to join the Dispute Resolution team. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone wishing to advance their legal career in a specialist environment, within a vibrant and supportive environment. Working alongside experienced solicitors and partners, you will contribute to representing clients across a range of complex commercial and civil disputes.
Salary: £60,000 - £75,000, with hybrid working available.
Key Responsibilities in Dispute Resolution Case Management
- Managing a varied caseload of commercial and civil disputes including Debt Recovery, guiding cases from instruction through to resolution either via negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
- Drafting legal documents and correspondence, including pleadings, witness statements, settlement agreements, and instructions to counsel in line with current court protocols and practice directions.
- Maintaining proactive and regular communication with clients, opponents, experts, barristers, and relevant third parties throughout the dispute resolution process.
- Undertaking legal research and evidence gathering to support the successful resolution of claims and defences.
- Utilising the firm’s case management system to accurately update files and ensure compliance with SRA, AML, and GDPR obligations at all times.
- Providing clear and practical client advice on merits, risks, procedural steps, and likely outcomes at every stage of dispute proceedings.
- Participating in settlement meetings, mediation sessions, and court hearings as appropriate, with supervision as required depending on experience.
- Delivering general administrative and file management support, ensuring efficient progress of all dispute resolution matters.
Essential Skills and Experience for Dispute Resolution Legal Roles
- Experience in civil litigation and debt recovery required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex legal information in straightforward terms to clients from a diverse range of backgrounds.
- Proven ability to organise, prioritise, and manage multiple dispute matters simultaneously, meeting all deadlines and procedural requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of legal drafting and file management.
- Confident IT skills, including with legal case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Dedication to high standards of client care and upholding professionalism when dealing with all stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

- Experience in a broad range of disputes, such as commercial contract disputes, property litigation, debt recovery, and professional negligence.
